What is Dubai waterfall dance?

Dubai Waterfall Dance, also popularly known as the Dubai Fountain is one of the main tourist attractions in the city. Dubai is a traveler’s paradise and is also a well-known commercial center in the Middle East. Thousands of travelers from all across the world visit Dubai every month. It is the largest choreographed artificial fountain in the world and is based on the Burj Khalifa Lake at the downtown area of the city. It has been designed by the renowned agency in California known as WET Design.

The Dubai Waterfall is made up of 6600 lights and is operated by 25 coloured projectors. The length is around 75 meters and the water shoots to a height of around 500 feet. The water dances according to the rhythm of contemporary world music and Arabic music. The total cost of this project is around AED 800 million. It has the ability to spray around 22000 gallons of water at a single moment in the tune of music. Since 2010, a new attraction in the form of fire lights was introduced in the waterfall dance. This beam can be seen from a distance of over 20 miles. As the water is sprayed above, a loud boom sound is heard.

The Dubai Waterfall dance performance takes place each day at 1:00 pm and at 1:30 pm for every 30 minutes and again on 6 pm to 10 pm on weekday. On Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the performance happens from 6 pm to 11 pm. In 2011, DHL Express held an advertising campaign and choreographed to a specially reworked version of a popular classic by Motown.
