Katie Freiling, author of the Social Media Wealth Manifesto, is an expert in using social media to market herself, her brand, and her business. It should be no surprise, therefore, that she is now giving away her new manifesto in order to promote her latest product, The Unified Tribe.

What is The Unified Tribe?

According to the teasers in the manifesto, The Unified Tribe will provide a vehicle for like-minded entrepreneurs to come together to create a new social media economy. In Katie’s view, that new economy will encourage people to build a business based on their interests and life’s purpose. It is to be an economy based on cooperation rather than competition, one in which everyone helps everyone else gain social proof and social buzz by promoting each others products to their own lists.

The Unified Tribe, which will open at the end of April 2010 (more than a week after her manifesto was issued), will also purportedly provide an automated content syndication and perpetual traffic system that will provide each member maximum exposure through the social media connections of every other member. It will also contain a social media and blogging university.

Can the Manifesto Stand Alone?

But what about the manifesto itself? Well, based on my initial read of the Social Media Wealth Manifesto, two things are clear.

First, the material is based on and amplifies the information provided in the free Social Media Income Transformation video course which Katie gives away on her blog. Since Katie has successfully generated a good income using these techniques, they obviously work.

Second, Katie has obviously listened to her mentor, Eben Pagan who is a leading advocate for ?moving the free line.? That is, Eben believes that you should do everything you can to provide value to your prospects, including giving away your best material.

And that’s exactly what Katie appears to have done in her manifesto. Even without The Unified Tribe, anyone who implements the information is The Social Media Wealth Manifesto is sure to see a significant, long-term increase in traffic to their site. And it is likely to be very high converting traffic at that.

When combined with The Unified Tribe, well since the site doesn’t open for over a week, we will just have to wait and see. But, if the manifesto is any indication, the combination could be dynamite!
